Six steps, one plan

  1. The guest list, with three people waiting to join and a Send invitation button beside each name.

    Invite your people.

    Send email invitations or share individual invitation links. Guests can accept or decline, and organizers can manage the guest list.

  2. A November availability calendar with time slots selected on the days that work.

    Find out when everyone’s free.

    Let each person mark the dates and time slots that work for them on a shared availability calendar.

  3. The locations step, with one place added and a form to add another by name and address.

    Put the options on the table.

    Add potential locations with names, addresses, and links so everyone can vote on the choices.

  4. A ranked shortlist of three places, above a card for each location showing its rank.

    Give everyone a say in where you go.

    Participants rank up to three locations. Weighted votes determine the group’s top choice.

  5. Who has answered and who hasn’t yet, above the dates with the most people free so far.

    See what the plan is waiting on.

    Track who has joined, who has answered, and whose response is still outstanding.

  6. The organizer’s decision screen, listing each time option with how many people can make it.

    Know when it’s time to make the call.

    The organizer receives an email when all required responses are in and the plan is ready for a decision.

Who am I

Hi, I’m Douglas

I built Are We Doing This? my dads group chat failed to hangout for the third time. Everyone was busy with family, work and life in general. I wanted a tool that would easily identify our availability. It ended up making its way out of that group chat into other chats. Then a friend asked if she could use it for her book club. Eventually I realized it was time to share with more than just my friendship circle.
